Royal Thai Police Becomes First In Asia Pacific To Operate Airbus H175

October 4, 2017 – The Royal Thai Police has become the first in the Asia Pacific to operate the newest Airbus Helicopters rotorcraft after receiving two H175 helicopters. The Royal Thai police will be utilizing the super medium aircraft, which boasts the latest in technology and capabilities for VVIP transportation along with routine police operations.

Currently, the Royal Thai Police are operating a nine Airbus Helicopters, which consists of five H155s, two AS365 N3+s, which will be operated in addition to the two new H175s.

As of today, more than fifteen H175 helicopters have flown about 12,000 hours globally. Boasting an excellent payload for both short and long-range missions, the H175 has a maximum take-off weight of nearly eight tons and is designed with proficiency across a variety of missions including utility, Law Enforcement, VIP transport, oil and gas industry, as well as search and rescue. The H175 is equipped with Helionix, Airbus Helicopters’ integrated suite of advanced avionics and four-axis autopilot. He H175 offers enhanced situational awareness and improved operational safety by reducing pilot workload which increases mission flexibility. The H175 hosts a seating capacity of up to twelve passengers in an executive/VIP configuration, and offers passengers with a notably smooth ride at all speeds inside its climate-controlled cabin with a very wide open panoramic view.
