As with the contract announced on the 8th of February, 2016, also awarded to Bell under a no bid contract exception (as Bell is the only supplier of the AH-1Z) Naval Air Systems Command will finance the full contract amount from their aircraft procurement funds from the 2016 and 2017 budget.
